Can you Donate to Get Vital Support to Vulnerable People Over the Winter Period?
This winter, please consider those in your community that spend much of their time alone. Christmas and the festive season is fun for many of us, but for some, it only serves to make them feel more lonely.
The Octavia Foundation is committed to being there for those that need us, delivering thoughtfully curated projects to encourage connection and bring everyone some festive cheer.
From our 10-year established befriending service which thoughtfully matches trained volunteers with lonely and isolated older people, to an Outreach service which puts together support plans and delivers welfare checks for the most vulnerable – our team are experienced and have a huge impact on older people’s lives.
Kind donors like you make it possible for the Octavia Foundation to meet this need and be there for vulnerable individuals across our community. This is why we are appealing to you to help fund these essential winter services.
Essential Winter Support and Festive Joy
This year, we are thrilled to be hosting eight local Christmas parties across our community in for 200 older people, filled with good food, festive music and dancing. We will also be providing gifts and handwritten cards to make each and every individual feel special.
To get as much support as we can to those who need it, we are appealing for your help.
If you would like to support older people in your community this Christmas and bring them joy, please consider donating to our campaign.
We are very grateful for all the support we receive. Your donation could cover the following:
-
£10 could cover the cost of tea and refreshments at a befriending visit
-
£20 could cover the cost of buying Christmas gifts for three residents of our care schemes
-
£50 could cover the cost of food and refreshments at 10 befriending meetings over the winter period
-
£250 could fund enriching entertainment like music, dancing and creative activities across one of our parties
